Our Story
Our Loans and Scholarships
P.E.O. was founded January 21, 1869 by seven young ladies on the Wesleyan College campus in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Now a community based sisterhood, friendship is still the cornerstone and our charge is to be a source of financial support and encouragement for women who are seeking higher education. Proceeds from our fundraising efforts are used to provide scholarships, grants, and low interest loans to women seeking to realize their potential.
